Scripts for Movie Producers

An individual can say that a movie is any movie that is entertaining and educative. A movie (plural: movies) includes all of the visualized images created by the human eye and mind through five senses, namely sight, sound, touch, and smell. Movies can also refer to non-visualized videos of all sorts, which are usually produced for broadcast on television, for example movies shown before broadcasts on certain channels or in movie theaters. Thus, a movie can be broadly classified into both fiction films and non-fiction films.

A feature film can be further subdivided into two types: fantasy films and reality-based plots. A fantasy film is usually a picture or a film that does not follow a definite plot outlines and contains supernological characters. The most famous rigid classifications of movie plots include the following: a plot-driven story, where the central character(s) acts solely for the sake of pursuing the main ideas; a theme-oriented story, in which the themes expressed by the plot are secondary to the main ideas promoted by the story; a character-centric story, in which the central characters act according to the traits that they have established as unique and interesting personalities; and a multi-character theme, in which different characters are assigned different traits based on their interactions with other characters. A movie that fulfills its purpose is a successful feature film. But it must also be told in such a way that it should appeal to a larger audience than the mere conscious purpose of the audience.

The most important theme that a movie conveys is its message, which is conveyed through various elements such as themes, emotions, and psychology. A theme can even be a recurrent theme, as is the case with a fairy tale. It is the overall theme that underlie the movie, and every character in the movie merely acts, thinks, feels, and desires according to the theme. As an example, throughout history, story-lines have followed through each and every civilization to tell their stories, with the exception of some minor ones like those that dealt with religion or social issues.

Themes are very important for movies, since they allow the audience to identify with the character(s) and therefore become emotionally attached to them. In this regard, themes could be war themes, romantic themes, family themes, or even social themes. For instance, during World War II, the United States had a lot of war-themed movies, most of which were parodies or remakes of popular movies from the time period. However, throughout the history of cinema, themes have varied, even though most of the themes have remained the same.

The key to creating a successful movie is to choose the right film genre. For instance, a romantic comedy would not work during World War II, even though a lot of people like this type of movie because it tends to capture the romance and emotion of the era. A thriller would be better suited during the time period when a lot of Americans were looking for ways to escape from the gruesome clutches of World War II, even though many Hollywood executives of that era preferred to produce films that depicted the heroic victories of the allied forces over the Germans. The theme of the movie would have to remain appropriate to the time and period it was intended for.

After choosing the proper film genre, the next step is to write a one sentence or two to describe the character development in the film. By doing this, the producer is able to better sell the screenplay to producers, executives, or even movie viewers. Since the concept is the most essential part of the entire story, it is important that one describes the theme of the film accurately. If the producer describes a theme that is not appropriate for the intended genre, the movie will fail to entertain its intended audience. The only way to overcome this problem is to carefully explain the theme in the first few sentences of the script, as the writer can then make changes if necessary.
