Toto is an American rock band formed in 1977 in Los Angeles, California. Members of the group include Steve Lukather, David Paich, Joseph Williams, John Pierce, Robert “Sput” Searight, Dominique “Xavier” Taplin, Warren Ham, and guitarist Michael Giacchino. Toto’s debut album, Toto, was released in 1978. Today, Toto has sold over 50 million albums worldwide, and their music remains a popular choice for fans of progressive rock.
Toto has had a troubled past, but in 2010 the group reformed for a small European tour. The tour was in memory of Mike Porcaro, who had been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). While he is not currently a member of the band, he remains an integral part of the group’s legacy. In addition to touring, Toto released two albums last year, one featuring a cover of the classic “Hallelujah!” song.

Ayako Otoshi and her husband’s new home in Queens were so happy to have a new toilet in their new home that they gave the Toto name to the puppy.
