The World Health Organization’s Definition of Health

Health is the means of sustaining life and contributing to the welfare of society. The World Health Organization defines health as an asset that enables a person to live a full and meaningful life. Researchers in The Lancet have described health as the ability to cope with stress, acquire new skills, and maintain relationships. However, this definition of health is not enough. There are many other factors that affect a person’s physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing.

According to the World Health Organization, ‘health’ is complete physical, mental, and social well-being. The primary goal of public health is to promote optimal physical, mental, and social wellbeing, and to reduce unhealthful activities and situations. Some of these factors are individual-based, while others are structural and may affect an individual’s ability to participate in healthy activities. Ultimately, we need to look for the best way to achieve health.

The concept of health has been discussed throughout history, but the modern definition of health is a bit more complicated. A person’s health is not solely defined by her or his body. It is an overall state of well-being. This is not only a state of well-being, but it also includes the way in which one is able to adjust to stressful or unpleasant situations. As such, a proper definition of health will reflect the many factors that contribute to a person’s overall wellness.

In addition to the physical and mental aspects of health, the World Health Organization’s constitution outlines the role of a person’s behavior in promoting health. People should be encouraged to participate in activities that promote good health and to limit or eliminate unhealthy activities and situations. There are also many structural factors that affect health. For example, a person with diabetes should avoid sugary beverages. Additionally, people with diabetes should be encouraged to increase their physical activity.

The World Health Organization’s constitution describes health as a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being. It is a broader view of health than the one we have today. The constitution acknowledges that health is not an outcome of a disease or physical condition, but is dependent upon the individual’s ability to adapt and thrive. Hence, the concept of health is a dynamic process that evolves and can be maintained over time.

The World Health Organisation has defined health as “complete physical, mental, and social well-being”. The World Health Organisation focuses on the social, physical, and social aspects of a person’s life in order to define a healthy person. The World Wide Web’s definition of ‘complete health’ also includes the term ‘complete wellbeing’. This concept does not take into account a person’s physical, mental, and social capacities, which are essential for a person to remain healthy.
