There are many reasons why people want to eat healthier. It makes you feel great to know that you are taking care of your body by eating healthier. People will generally be much more satisfied with eating healthier foods as well as having a better stamina throughout the day. In this article I am going to give you some reasons why you should eat healthier.
Reason One – There are new rules and guidelines for fat intake. The government requires a high amount of fat intake in our food. If you don’t follow these guidelines then your food is not allowed to have any E-A-T within them. This is basically an instruction for us to consume less fat. We all need this restriction to help reduce obesity.
Reason Two – The guidelines have increased our requirement for high-quality protein sources such as eggs, beans, and rice. The change in the food requirement for protein has increased the need for protein sources that come from plant sources. So now we are required to eat a lot more eggs and beans than before. This increases the requirement for high-quality protein such as my and whey.
Reason Three – All of the new high-quality foods are required to use more e-a-t. Now we are required to consume a lot more protein in order to stay fuller longer during the day. That’s because it has been found that the fat content of many of the products have become much higher than they used to be. Most of the e-a-t comes from high-quality whey and milk products and even from tofu.
Reason Four – Finally, we have the bad advice. One of the new guidelines requires us to consume a lot more protein than we need. Some of the websites that sell these new products may tell you that you cannot eat enough. They may tell you that you should eat two eggs, two chickens, two hours after your big dinner, or that you need six eggs a day, or whatever else they can think of at the moment. It is easy to get carried away with this bad advice, but if we follow the scientific recommendations we will not do any harm.
The authors of the guidelines have received many academic awards, including the Nobel Prize. Therefore, one could say that the scientific evidence on which they base their work is indeed very good and credible. However, it is important to remember that we humans do not operate in a vacuum. Our dietary needs also need to be balanced with other things such as our activities, health, lifestyle, and other factors.
